…and i’m off!

Despite the worries of some dear anonymous friends of the family (see here), I have made it to Seatac and am happily(ish) sitting by my gate. Some thoughts:

1) BA blatently lies. They advertise that they close check-in and baggage drop 2 HOURS before departure. Perhaps they get a kick out of stressing their passengers out. At least other airlines have started flying London-Seattle; maybe I can avoid them in the future.

2) Apparently, my Starbucks card allows me to use the attwifi in Seatac! A glorious surprise. To all of you out there who don’t already use (abuse?) this: definitely get one. All you have to do is use your Starbucks card periodically, I believe once every 3 months, and you get free wifi in all Starbucks. AT&T (Starbucks’ wifi provider) also provides wifi in Seatac…and apparently my Starbucks account also allows me to use the wifi here. Thank you Starbucks, AT&T. You made a friend today.

Other than that, here I go! 9 hours in seat 31A. Let’s pray for no small children and no obese neighbors.

London, here I come!
