a Santorini slideshow…

I’m heading back to London in a few hours, and still haven’t managed to make my slideshow work properly.

Hence, here is an assortment of photos from Santorini. You can see them in horrible facebook-warped quality here.

I think I will just start using flikr. Soon. Soon. When I’m done with exams.

Cabinet War Rooms

A selection of photos from the cabinet war room.

I’m using a recently discovered tool called lightbox. I’m planning to use this and my existing Mozy installation to make photos abound.

I am posting this from Parliament, on a very, very crappy computer that freezes everytime I have more than one tab open. So I can’t actually tell if it works, because the iframe crashes the browser. So let me know any problems.

As Jeffrey pointed out, this thing kinda sucks. I’m going to try again with something else. Stay tuned…

Help! Need picture hosting solution.

I’m stuck. I’ve been looking for a good way to put my pictures up for a while, and haven’t arrived at anything. I’ve considered:

  1. Facebook Photos Quality is low, sharing potencial is limited by the album, not by the subject, and there is no means to view high res versions.
  2. Gallery I thought about using the open-source project Gallery, and actually put it up — here , but the amount of customization possible/required is really intimidating. Net result, I don’t use it
  3. Flikr…I’ve been thinking about. I don’t really know that much about it, but I’m not sure if it will meet my main desires–present photos in a easily viewable format, without loss of quality, and in a manner by which I can easily embed them. Actually, I have a feeling Flikr does do all these things, I just wanted to run something through kahransingh.com (I bought the space, might as well use it, no?)

So, I might just go for Flikr. Any ideas about how I could incorporate? A revolving slideshow on the side would be nice…too bad there is no WordPress theme for that.
