Hey you tree there

Hey you tree there it’s nice to see you today I didn’t know you knew so much about height and heights — I knew you knew about growth but it was only when I started to talk to this one part of you it told me about how we are always thinking about heights. And how most of you doesn’t have to worry about heights — most of you gets to just grow and do its thing, be growing and be taller. Be trying to be ever taller. Responsible for the height, but not for worrying about it just growth growth growth.
Because of the other trees, you see, they have this way of coming in and like how — blocking the light, eating the soil, you can’t even find or make a grape of light, a square come to be a circle because 3d always renders weird in 2d, you think we meant to have our rings be this way? We were trying to just grow grow grow, and that made it much harder to worry about how we would render when you cut 2d segments out of us — we never dreamed we would be required to be snapshots in half, mandolin’d into the thinnest slices possible sometimes, because those are the things that show them they know how to really do it, how to win at life, show them they know how to cut, how to get themselves a tree.
Hey you tree I didn’t know what those gashes those gouges in your trunk came from are they a hurt from when you are young or are they a hurt from maintaining the base for all of the height you need to achieve to have a spot of light in this world.
Hey you tree I thought that was a little bit of poop that was on your bark on your trunk on your arm but what poop could stain a bark or a trunk or an arm of a tree? Is it a fungus my tree friend is that what left the scars the gouges not ants not termites not woodpeckers searching for a mate but was it a fungus that organism so mysterious how could something so small hold so much mystery, I hear its a story the elephant is asking its friends after it saw a mouse, have you ever seen an elephant actually frightened of a mouse, don’t say it too loud or they will hear and start hunting and cut down all of us trees oops I mean you trees the hills the grass the arms the trunks all to find the elephant hiding from those, you know it’s true you there tree my friend, you.
