In my heart something called to the rain
scroll
In my heart something called to the rain It had always called to the rain In days before and days past You know there's a lot of people who think fire was the gift of mankind That taught us there was an us But wonder Conjecture the rain Champion of life Heretic before Dawn
Being Life's chartreuse-clad champion, Of course you would say that, You say, Champion of life over destruction Value-er of order over chaos Of course you'd say that You say. To which I say Watch the rain And it will bring destruction down on your head Watch the trees And they will break your mountains Watch the stones And they will crush your plants Even watch us burn And be reborn, oak grow tall, pine grow fierce
I just say Are you 90% fire or 80% water And who lives better But what is better To the drowning man Or burning man Watch the rain.
