Today I Saw a Man on a Leash
scroll
Today I saw a man on a leash Or maybe it was a woman on a leash It was hard to tell which person was being held And which person was being restrained
It was an elephant leash Easily broken
And like an elephant’s leash It came with a curious sense of misfortune
What addiction tricked you, big man (woman) How did you (they) come to be tied with an elephant leash
In the forest, the elephant walks far more silently than the man.
